New York Day 1 (Niagara Falls)

Sunday, October 15, 2017

Hey guys. I know it has been more than a year. There is so much to talk about like how I'm engaged and getting married in less than 3 months? But I'll leave that to the next post. For now, I want to talk about my New York trip (which happened exactly 2 months ago)!!

So where do I start? I guess I could explain why I even went to New York in the first place. So my step sisters were going to pursue their studies there, one for masters and one for degree. So my parents and my aunt was going and naturally, I had to tag along! I mean, it's New York.

We took off on the 16th of August and my aunt and I were there for about 11 days whereas my parents were there longer. I couldn't stay that long cause of work. Trust me, it was such a hassle to even get my leave approved. But it did got approved eventually, thank God. We flew with American Airlines (the cheapest one with the least transit time) and arrived at JFK the next day, I guess. We had a three hour transit at London.

Once we arrived, we rented a car and drove to Buffalo! We wanted too visit Niagara Falls first, before going to NYC. It was such a long drive! I think we drove off at around 2 pm and reached around 11 pm. The weather was quite hot as well. We rented like a small house off Airbnb (or booking.com). Since we reached late at night, we have quite some difficulty locating the house. We found the location but we couldn't locate the exact house so we had to make a couple of rounds before we realise that's we've passed the house like a few times.

The next morning, we drove to Niagara Falls! We actually wanted to go through the Canadian border because apparently it's nicer there. We actually went through until we got stopped at customs. Why? Cause we did not have a visa! LOL. Stupid us thought we didn't need a visa to Canada. So after like an hour being stuck in the customs, we finally got to turn around and went back to the States. Here are some pictures from Niagara Falls.

We even went on the Maid of the Mist ride. When I was around 4, I went to Niagara Falls and I really wanted to ride the boat but I was scared. I guess I finally got my wish 20 years later! Once we were done exploring, we had a picnic at a park near by.

My mum and my step dad is the type who always carries around sandwiches, fried rice, etc whenever they travel. I guess that comes in handy when you are hungry. But sometimes, they just want to eat their home made food all the time and we don't really eat the local food there.

Once we were done with Niagara Falls, we went to the outlet near by. Trust me, you gotta love America and their outlets. Everything is so cheap!! I mean even without the outlet price, the American products are cheap. So imagine how much it is with outlet price!

So I guess that's about it for the things we did in Buffalo. Oh, here's a video of my vlog at Niagara Falls!

Call to the bar!

Thursday, December 15, 2016

Hi guys!! As most of you might not have known, I've been officially admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya!! So that means I am officially a lawyer!

I got called on the 9th of December. It went quite smoothly and fast to be honest. And I think I had the best speech if I do say so myself lol. I have nothing much to say apart from me being grateful that my journey to be a lawyer has finally end. But this is just the beginning to be honest. I have to say goodbye to my chambies' immunity and say hello to the lawyers' liabilities. Kind of scary to be honest. But let's just take it as it comes! Here are a few of my pictures from that day!
