Malaysia Day

Wednesday, September 16, 2015

Happy Malaysia Day guys! I have a lot to say about what has been going on lately regarding Malaysian politics but I'd rather not get into it on my blog. So with that aside, how's your public holiday going so far?

Today, I "kidnapped" my boyfriend and we went to Yellow Brick Road for lunch. I've been wanting to go there but I just never had the time. And since today is a public holiday, I decided to go there. And I saw my friend posting a picture on instagram, making it even more tempting. I really liked the ambience of the place, apart from the flies as we were sitting outside. It's located at Damansara Heights.

The food was good! I ordered their Chilli Corn Carne Baked Eggs along with minty lemonade while my boyfriend had some pasta and a flat white.

I forgot to take a picture of the pasta but hey, that's us in the last picture, obviously!

After lunch, we went to Mont Kiara because my boyfriend wanted a haircut. We went to number76 style. I loved that place! The decorations were so nice! But I did not get a picture, too. I'm the worst blogger there is, to be honest. Then we went to the H for dinner and I got a black pepper chicken rice and my boyfriend got gorpis. I guess that's it. We headed home. I just finished reading a few chapters of Abundance of Katherines by John Green. I used to be able to finish one book in one night. Heck, I was done with the thickest Harry Potter book in like two or three days. But I just sort of lost my reading mojo I guess. I should try to start getting into it once again.

Oh! Have you guys seen the new snapchat update? It's so weird. Especially the one where you vomit rainbow. But I like it anyway. I guess that's all for today. Bye guys!

Chill night out

Tuesday, September 15, 2015

Now I'm going to blog about what I did yesterday. I woke up quite early. I had to go to a TVC casting at Kota Damansara. Surprisingly, the queue weren't that long and the casting process itself wasn't long. It just took me about 15 minutes. After that, I picked my boyfriend up from his place and headed to GULA cakery because I wouldn't be seeing him at night as he had some work to do. My review about GULA cakery is in the blog post before this. Then his brother picked him up and we went home.

At night, I had to go to KGNS to meet some of my late dad's friends to pass them a certain document. And I've always wondered what it is like in Bilik Buaya in KGNS. If you guys have been to KGNS, you would notice a room called Bilik Buaya and you can't enter in you're below 18 because it's basically a pub. But I didn't get that when I was a kid and my late dad would always be there to hang out with his friends. So I finally got in last night. It's basically just a place where old people hang out and there's a live band performing LOL.

Oh I was with my friend Putra. Then we drove to my friend Ain's house to pick her up because we wanted to go to Blue Elephant to meet up with our other friends. But turns out we weren't going to Blue Elephant until later at night so we had to drop by Aria first to meet our friends. Then later at night, my friends whom I met there, wanted to go to Gravity instead. So Ain, Putra and I decided to just go to Blue Elephant ourselves. That was the main reason we went out anyway. So it's a speakeasy pub. To get in, you had to like go through a "bookshelf". It was a really cool place though. They had like a movie theme. And we also saw a few local celebrities who I shall not name.

So those are some of the few pictures we took. It was a really chill night. After awhile, we decided to go home.

GULA cakery

Tuesday, September 15, 2015

Hey! So I just thought I'd give a review of this new cake shop/cafe that opened near by my house in Kota Kemuning. It's called Gula Cakery.

So Gula Cakery is located at Jalan Anggerik Arranda at Kota Kemuning, at the new shop lots. I think it's been open less than a week? I'm not too sure. But the food is really good though! I tried the chicken pie, chicken carbonara, chocolate cream cake and creme brûlée.

The place is really cute too. They have a play area for kids. The price range is what a typical cafe would be like. Still affordable. Everything was below 20 for sure. Overall it's a good place to chill and hang out out. And also to get good food!

Random day out

Monday, September 14, 2015

Hi guys! I have not been blogging that much. Sorry. But I thought I'd start blogging for real starting NOW! So I haven't really figure out what my content should be in general for my blog. Probably just everything in between.

Anyway yesterday I had a movie date with my boyfriend. We watched Transporter. It was alright. I'd give it a 7.5/10. Before that we had lunch at Food Foundry. Both of us have been craving for crepe cake so we decided to go there because it has the best crepe cakes and we also had pasta. We wanted to go to the butterfly park but the haze was so bad and it started raining when were on the way there. Funny thing is, we tried going there a few weeks ago and it was also raining so we couldn't enter. It's like we're not meant to go there or something. But lets hope the weather would be good the next time we try to go there.

So after the movie ended we went to the Curve because my boyfriend wanted to go to Embershoppe to get some tobacco. And you guys might not know this but my boyfriend and I have been taking OOTDs every weekend since a few weeks ago. It was supposed to be just for me. But the thing is, my boyfriend didn't know how to take an OOTD from the right angle. So I asked him to stay at a certain spot while I took his picture instead to show him how I wanted mine to be taken. And he liked the way his picture turned out so since then, we have been taking each other's OOTDs. Back to the story, I had to go to the toilet and while waiting for me, he found a decent spot for an OOTD. So here's our OOTD from last night.

My top and jeans are from Topshop, my bag are Michael Kors and unfortunately, I can't remember where my shoes are from.

Then we headed to the H at Hartamas to meet our friends. The H is a new hangout spot which is similar to Rasta at TTDI. I had nasi lemak and then we played Cards Against Humanity.

The haze was still quite bad even during night time. Oh! And I won the game! So after we finished one game, we decided to head home. I dropped off my boyfriend at his place then I drove back home to mine. Here's a random selfie from last night.

Hahaha okay that's all for today. I still have a few things to blog about that happened prior to this but I'll have another post just for that. Till then. See you!
